MemberWe nearly drowned and to top it off nearly blown off Neyland Bridge.
Soaked through, Ian & I road together, did the short route in 4:36. Andrew & Roger shot off not to be seen again. Saw Dylan & Graham at the feed station and again at the finnish. I will leave the more detailed report of the day to Valleyman. See you all on the midweek ride.

MemberValleyman its good to here you are up for the big one on Sunday, if you up for a riding partner, I’ll be happy to ride with you (2’s company), on your own is a long way. MatG has a cold and might not be riding the the full distance, so I need a partner. We’ll let Andrew and Roger look after themselves.

Member4 Members of Narberth Dynamos – Roger,Andrew,Huw & myself. 1 new bike (yes finally we got to see Roger’s new bike).A hour wait in the cold at the start, 100 riders sent off every 2 mins. 121 miles of hard riding.
The 1st 40 miles flatish, after that it all started to go up, & up & up, nothing to steep, but the climbs just went on & on for miles( I prefer the steep short climbs now)
Nice downhills though. To top it all off (after a hundred miles), they made us ride up the Bwlch again. The longest 6 miles in my life.
I finished behind the others in 8:10. A great day though, and thanks to Huw for the lift.
I am now going to repeat that distance this weekend in the Tour of Pembrokeshire.I must be mad.
See you all Wednesday night.

MemberI managed to loose everyone – both fast and slow groups – on the up side, did an extra 7miles and discovered some tough new climbs (Llandewi Velfrey – Llampeter Velfrey) trying to catch up. Got back to the carpark at 8 and everyone was gone. Next Wednesday I’ll try and not loose any groups.

MemberValleyman, I couldnot have summed that up better. Once again thankyou to Andrew – organising; Matt – the buses; Kerrie / Janice – driving the buses; the rest of you fellow cyclists for the company and finally that can of FRAY BENTOS Terry lugged all the way to Tenby.

MemberIt was a hard earned 86miles. I decided to hang back and ride with Mat and not shoot off with Andrew and Roger. The last we saw of them was the 1st ford crossing. Mat and I did however bump into the VALLEY CREW (when we were stopping for pee, and 1st feed station, then another pee stop). Met Huw at the 2nd feed station.
Were going well despite the headwind, Mat got a puncture just after passing through Crymch (just as well as my backside needed a break from the saddle).
There was a part of loop 2 that we missed on our pre recce ride that yet again gave us more climbs & another ford crossing.
Enjoyed the final decent into Newport. Tired legs, but great day. Felt better after the Preseli than at the Daffodil.
