Club Membership
At the AGM of 28th March 2024 it was agreed to keep the cost of Club membership at £15.00 per year for adults and £7.00 for juniors under 18 years of age.
Membership of the Club provides you with the following benefits:
* Third party insurance when on club rides
* Weekly organised rides
* Discounts negotiated with local businesses
* Affiliate membership rate to the British Cycling Federation (BCF)
* Discounted rate for the Dynamos Cycle-fit sessions at Bloomfield during winter months
Members are encouraged to join either the CTC or BCF as they provide a range of benefits including third party insurance for when you are cycling on your own. Follow the links above for full details of the packages available
If you would like to join the Club it would be appreciated if you could do this on-line via the BCF website. Please note that the membership cost on-line is shown as £14.00 / £6.00 but a £1.00 admin fee is levied so the Club has agreed to pay this.
We must ask that if you cycle with the Club regularly you become a member. As a guest you are welcome to come on one of our rides twice but after this you must join to be covered by our insurance. Non-members cycling with the Club can also risk invalidating our insurance.
In previous years we have left it to individuals who benefit from the rides we organise to join the Club of their own volition, however, it clear that this last year this has not happened and we are therefore regrettably going to have to police membership. Going forward if you are not a member we are going to have to ask you not to ride with the Club. We hope you understand our position.
