MemberLast Cyclefit before Xmas is next Tueday (22nd). Jon has promised a festive session with seasonal music and DVD and no doubt we will all end up as red as Rudolf’s nose….
ValleyMan
MemberMe too on both counts. Can’t get any worse as was slowest last time over 500m
ValleyMan
MemberLots of new faces tonight which was good but precious few Dynamos. If you were worried it would be all too easy think again it was hard work; you only had to look at the ocean of sweat surrounding the Chairman. Hope to see a few more of you next week.

MemberI have now added an article to the Cyclefit page that Jon has written comparing his classes with a typical ‘Turbo’ session (he has done both!).
Hopefully this will answer any question you may have. Jon has adapted the classes he runs on Spin bikes to work with Turbos so you can still spend all evening staring at your Garmin (other brand of bike computer are available) if you want.
See you all on 13th.

MemberDear fellow cyclists
May I first of all thank all your members who took part in the charity Hill Climb. I believe all participants enjoyed the afternoon and possibly like me, were slightly shocked on how hard it was!
I attach the results together with a short report with some photographs.
Our next bike event is the Charity Bike Ride, which is more of a social ride as its involves an optional barbeque lunch where friends and family are welcome to join us for lunch and drink or two.
The ride is on Father’s Day, Sunday 21 June 2015 and is a good opportunity to get those very occasional cyclists you know on their bikes!
More details can be found at:-

Thank you again and I hope you will be able to join us on Father’s Day.
Best Regards
David

MemberShocking news has reached us from Valley Road.
As the deadline passed for nominating members to stand for election as officers of the Club, a grand total of 0 (zero, nil, none, bugger all) nominations had been received by the incumbent Club Secretary.
In an exclusive interview for the Club Forum he commented:
‘Once again this election has caught the imagination of the members as the nominations are on a par with the numbers received in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014. Clearly the members remain very happy with the current dictatorship under our Supreme Chairman Butcherboy and his cadre of loyal henchmen. In celebration of the great and glorious unopposed victory of our Dear Leader we are planning a cycling tour of other sympathetic totalitarian states, i.e. North Korea and Scotland.’
Communiqué Ends.
All members are expected to attend the ceremonial swearing in at Narberth Rugby Club on 12 June 2015 at 7.00pm. However, the first one to stop clapping should remind themselves it is Hog Roast season; you have been warned.
ValleyMan
MemberShould be about that day, but better put at the back as I don’t want to hold anyone up.
ValleyMan
MemberCan’t remember if we disclosed our affiliation when signing up but we are in Wave 8 with an 8.10 start. Hare and the Tortoise?!
ValleyMan
Member….and the North face of the Bwlch has been gritted. Makes for an even more interesting decent.
ValleyMan
MemberMat hope you get well soon.
Is that the hill down from Bethesda? We went down there today and it really shocking. Perhaps we need to write to the Council to complain? They seem to have lots of money to tar and chip everything in sight but not sort out probably the worst bit of road in Pembrokeshire…..

MemberUpdate on the meeting.
1) Junior Section. As insufficient members are currently prepared to commit to this, we are unable to cater for riders who are under 18 and not accompanied by a parent/guardian. However, we will try to encourage parents/guardians to come along with their Children. We should NOT be allowing unaccompanied under 18 year olds come on our Club rides.
2) Rides. Leighton (in his absence – that will teach you) has been volunteered to add a calendar section to the front page of the website where we will try to post weekday and Sunday rides well in advance.
3) Members are to be invited to submit rides (in Strava Format) to be added to the Calendar (see separate post).
4) To encourage beginners we will have a short (circa 10 mile) route available every Tuesday and the first Sunday of each month. If anyone turns up to do the beginners ride then someone will have to volunteer to escort them. It was decided a rota was unable to work. Please spread the word…
5) Turbo is losing money for the Cub due to the lack of support. However, it was agreed we should defer a decision on 2015/2016 to see if we could attract new members and we should perhaps discuss the format.
That was it.
Any comments please respond to this post.
