Newport Velodrome

Stumpy has booked the velodrome again for us next year. It is on Sunday 10th January, between 12.00 and 2pm. Not sure of the cost yet. Last time we paid £10 towards the cost and the club paid the remainder. Depending on numbers, perhaps we could either charge less for members or maybe more for non members.
The cost of bike hire was also £10. Once we have some idea on numbers we will let you know the cost.

Not sure about travel arrangements. Simon, is your offer of a mini bus still there? Either way we need to arrive in Newport by 11.30 at the latest.

Just found out some further info –
Pedals on the bikes accept Look Keo Cleats.
If you haven’t got them then training shoes should be worn. Bikes will have toe straps
MUST wear gloves.
MUST wear a helmet.
Helmets are provided on the day but not gloves. (They are £6)
I suggest taking your own gloves and helmet along.
They ask that you wear 2 layers of clothing on your upper body and obviously Cycling shorts.
The cost of hiring the bikes is £10 each, payable on the day.
Total cost of track hire and coach for the 2 hours is £225.00.
I suggest if we all put £10 each towards it and the club will pay the rest?
