I’ll be at Bloomfield at 10:30 to cycle over with the club – I should be on time as I only have myself to organise! Valleyman is driving to the start fresh from running the Llanelli half marathon. I’m planning on going home in the car with him.
Woke up early but got going late so set out on my own. i met a couple of aces between sageston and redberth and then again at tavernspite – they were everywhere! sadly i missed the dynamos because i believe i know the fabled passage. maybe next week…
This is a bit late but for all those wondering if turbo training is on tonight, yes, it is! As far as I know, all 4 turbo trainers are available to use. See you at 7 o’clock ish (that’s in 40 minutes!)
Your spy was misinformed Mike! Major surgery to the bike was averted by a minor tweak to the gear lever using sterilised pliers (thanks Jon). The real pain is likely to come when I have to pay for a new set of wheels due to irrepairable dent in the rear rim which happened not as a result of the head on collision but a hole in the road – also the cause of pre-mentioned puncture! Ironically, the hole in the road was not encountered in the badlands of Port Talbot but in the beautiful backdrop of Swansea Bay. Probably best to stick to the Pembrokeshire roads with holes that I know!
Good turnout but where did everyone go? I want to make the point that the Colby Gardens – Amroth circuit was not part of Route 6 and it added 2 more hard hills to an already hilly route! Which way did you go Andrew? Maybe we should add management of group rides to our agenda for Friday … or maybe we just need more practice!
