MemberThank you Ian for the latest tail.
Mine on the Dragon ride was somewhat contrasting…it is a tail of getting up obscenely early, freezing at the 1 hour + wait to start, foul sports drink at feed stations, deteriorating weather ascending The Bwlch for the second time (Andrew getting the jump on me by 3 mins) and then charging the last 15 miles or so to the finish(catching up those 3 mins..apart from 2 seconds!). To cap it all it looks like there’s been a complete blunder with the timing chips for almost everyone..so there will be no record of our 7 hrs 2 mins riding time at 17.2 average……..do I care about any of this??? Absolutely not(well apart from those 2 secs!) as Audrey (long story..involving a Russion Princess) the new bike was absolutely brilliant..roll on the Tour of Pembs..Audrey can’t wait

Roger
MemberI echo all of Andrew’s comments!
That Devil,s Stairacse and then further climbs over the mountain were definitely the hardest I’ve ridden…still “practice makes perfect” and perhaps we should undertake that section monthly as a club for training purposes!
Roger
MemberI’m up for it.
Roger
MemberThank you Ian for describing the day so well.
Lets hope for many more eventful days out…but no more head on collisions, road rage, car damage….. and Andrew beating me up the hills ( the only major blight of the day! )
Roger
MemberI’m up for this – fairly easy about the time slot..I’m at my best at 04.00 in the morning!
Roger
MemberAndrew would have been the better honary cameraman as we was by far the strongest up those bloody hills….I’m pretty knackered ..that ranks up with the hardest runs I can remember.
Roger
MemberMonday prevailing wing was Northerly-I was heading East ie..it was a cross wind if you take a look at the Olympic handbook you will will see that that the record stands!
Roger
MemberPoint of order..you can have 4 quarters but I’m not allowing 4 halves!
I loved your description of a full and exciting day ..which goes in complete contrast to my 70 mile Easter Monday slog from Narberth to Aberdare to visit my ailing father-in-law…I did however break my world record with an average speed of 16.5 mph
Roger
MemberI have demanded that no new Airbuses be made until they have completed my frame

MemberI may not have a pass for Easter Sunday….as we have visitors staying over…Monday would be better for me..any like-minded Easter cyclists?

MemberI really enjoyed the day..and actually had a pass for longer than 14.00..the time of my return…I became over come with guilt…dug a footing for a gate post..2 hrs…lit the barbeque…did an hour’s strimming..and then cooked said barbeque….I was then asked why I hadn’t tended to the washing!…I think its time for bed soon…

MemberI’ll be there..shame my new bike may be a few weeks away
Roger
MemberGreat conditions for today’s ride but I wonder if the sun burnt through my gear cable….if I’d known Jon was carrying a spare cable I would not have been a able to cut the grass,do the childen’s homework and hang a gate when I got prematurely back!
Nice to see everybody out enjoying the sunny roads
Cheers
