Flapjack’s Flapjacks


  • 175g Salted Welsh butter
  • 50g Caster sugar
  • 150g Golden syrup
  • 250g Rolled oats
  • 25g Chopped prunes
  • 25g Dried cranberries
  • 25g Chopped walnuts or other seeds/nuts


Put butter, sugar & syrup in a large pan and melt over low heat stirring occasionally until smooth and combined. Add the remaining ingredients and stir until thoroughly combined.

Turn the mixture into a lined 200mm square tin and bake for 20 minutes at 180 C.
Leave to cool slightly, cut into bit size squares, leave to fully cool.

Stuff in rear pockets or large saddle bag and consume one every ten miles!
