MemberI have worked out some time slots based on the above-
5.00 Matt Greener
5.30 Andrew
6.00 Dave Edwards
6.30 Huw
7.00 Roger
Any one else wishing to do this please post your time slot on this page asap.
Nick has said he will go on to 9.00/9.30. So enough room for another 3/4.

MemberI`m planning to do the long route. I think you will find the first 40 odd miles up to Goodwick is tough. After that its ok, certainly no worse than the angel.

MemberThank you valleyman, Janice has just read your report and has`nt laughed that much since our wedding night!!
Can i also personally thank Mathew, Kerrie and Janice for they`re help. Also to each and everyone of you riders who came up with us. Great company and a great day out. Roll on next year.

MemberDon`t forget to bring your helmet, some food, drinks and wet suit on saturday.
We will try and ride this one together (Roger and i promise not to race off Kim)
As valleyman has said the buses will be waiting for us in Tenby to bring us back to Narberth
Anyone wanting a lift back to Tenby in the evening i suggest we meet up at the Ivy Bush at 7.30 and the bus will leave at 8.
As for what time we leave Tenby is up to us, our driver (my wicked step mum) will be on call and is flexible. After a long day in the saddle we might want to be home by 10 with a mug of coco (were not as young as we used to be are we Ian!!)
See you at 5am on saturday.

MemberDelme has pulled out of carten, which means we now have a spare entry. I know its short notice but do you know anyone who would like to take his place?

MemberWell, Roger, Huw and myself are riding the Dragon on 5th June 135miles and i am planning to ride the full tour of pembs too. Perhaps Kim might have some ideas on the best way to recover.

MemberIt was a shame we lost each other so soon. I didnt think we were going particuly quick on the first loop. Roger, Huw, Sean from the aces and i rode a nice pace for most of the loop. Roger and i nearly made the same mistake as last year by taking a left turn at the crossroads about 3 miles from the end of loop 1. We were both looking back for Huw`s guidence/directions. luckily some other riders pointed us in the right direction. We would of never lived it down if we had of gone the wrong way again!
As for loop 2, it was 40 miles of hard riding. My philosophy is always to try and get up the hills as quickly as possible and then recover. But the hills just kept coming and the few miles we had a bit of flat road the wind was in your face which for me was worse than the hills.
Still looking back on it now when all the pain has gone i`m glad i rode it. next weeks carten will be a dodle compared to that.

MemberGreat ride tonight. 10 of us out. Good weather and great company. Hope Leights gets his legs back for next week!!
butcherboy
Memberwe shall ride this route anti clockwise. which means down to narberth bridge and finishing with a nice flatish ride from princess gate into narberth.

MemberI rode with the aces last year and we stopped at mcdonalds in britton ferry. They also had lunch in bury port. So there will be plenty of oppotunity to pig out!
butcherboy
MemberHow about riding the short tour of pembs. 63 miles. And when we get to Pembroke we have the choice of extending to the middle distance which is 82 miles.
butcherboy
MemberGood idea Matt. another good road to practise on is the Sageston to Redberth road. Not much traffic on that route.
