I’ve been off the forums for a bit due to work and other commitments. Do you still have slots to fill? I’m on call this weekend but could get cover to do an hour.

I’ll keep an eye on this thread now. Sorry.

For slinky & swanny we will have a third turbo set up for come & try – unlikely anyone will be trying through the night – so you could come & ride on that

I think for transitions good to utilise 3rd turbo so you can set up while previous person is finishing. Otherwise is we lose 5 mins each change over will actually cost us 4 hours of cycling (5 * 2 * 24) so may finish in a remote part of Scotland miles from anywhere

    Machine a, b, c with person 1, 2, 3, 4
person 1 rides machine a for hour person 2 rides machine b for hour. Person 3 sets up & starts on machine c person 1 stops. person 4 sets up & starts on machine a & person 2 stops – this means 2* 24 hour continuous cycling. Some people may have to do an extra 5 mins – unless we use 4 machines.

Excellent logistic work once again, Mat. Now, not only will we cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats in 24 hours, we will also be able to determine pi to three hundred decimal places without leaving the High Street.

If it helps, I have access to the empty shop/office to the right of J J Morris’ office that could be used to provide shelter/storage

Great stuff. That way I can put some miles in to help and it won’t matter if calls get in the way.

Just for clarity. Bring my own turbo bike and I can use one of the bike computers? Mines just died! Grr. Unless do Garmin Edges work on turbos?

Matt would appreciate a hand. I will be picking up the Turbo Trainers from Andrew about 9.30 so should be outside JJ Morris around 9.45.

Could everyone try and arrive 30 mins before their slot to get set up.

The Slinkster is stepping in to do one of Jane’s shifts from 6-7pm as she is busy elsewhere. I’m hoping by then we’ll in the Highlands, my haggis stocks are low.

Cracking effort from what I could see guys and gals. Much spinning of turbos has been done and the push looks well set for the night.

and why isn’t Milo lending a hand and getting some miles in for us?..this may count against him when his application finally reaches the top of the 10 year membership waiting list…
