I intend to replace the Club Sunday rides that clash with ToP Rideouts with details of the ToP Rideout as quite a few people intend to do them. It seems a better option than splitting ourselves between 2 separate routes.
Details are:
Sunday February 12th: East route – from Maenclochog (excluding extra loop to Newport and Dinas for Paul Ties 130) (43 miles)
Sunday March 12th: West route – half (eastern half) distance from Maenclochog (37 miles)
Sunday April 9th: East route – from Maenclochog with extra loop to Newport and Dinas for Paul Ties 130 (53 miles)
Sunday May 7th: West route – full Skoda 60 route from Crug Glas (63 miles)
Hopefully, everyone is in agreement.
I have one question though. What time do they start, as its doesn’t say on the ToP website?
Sounds good Pete. Lets have a strong Dynamo support for the rideouts. If anyone hasn’t joined them before they’re good fun and an excellent taster for the Tour, especially this year with all the new routes. They generally started at 9.00 a.m. last year, but I’ve asked Jim Eliot to confirm.
Jim’s come back to me. The plan is for the rideouts to start at 9.30 a.m.
Thanks for the update
Jim has asked me to remind everyone that, depending on the level and number of riders who turn up, the pace is likely to be gentle and there will be quite a few ‘review and plan’ stops. Riders who are used to a fast pace should consider wearing an extra layer or two to avoid getting cold as a result of riding at a slower pace than they usually do or waiting for others to re-group.
I’m going on Sundays ride, anyone else out??
I’ll be there. Jim’s been in touch – change to the start time. It’s now 9.00 a.m. on all rideouts, as the website,
. That’s 9.00 folks!
As long as its above freezing I should be there. Planning on cycling up to Maenclochog. Anyone else?
Weather permitting, I aim to be there. I don’t think I’ll riding there though!
What time will you be at Bloomfield Andrew?
Leave Bloomfield by 8.15 Julian. Although it will depend on the weather. That early might be a bit risky with any frost about.
Will just decide in the morning.
Very cold on the road today, but no frost, just hail. Think I’ll be driving tomorrow.
if not icy will be at bloomfield by 815
