It was a bit scary at times. 9 of us (I think?) braved the icy conditions. We did change the route slightly by avoiding the back road from Tavernspite to Llanddorow. Instead we went to Red Roses then turned left down the main road to St Clears. Freezing our sprockets off on that fast bit of road. Just before the roundabout someone ( me) had a puncture. Not nice changing a tube when you can’t feel your fingers.
We thought we saw the last of the ice after that, but going up Marros hill was probably the most treacherous of the morning.
But I think we all made it back, safely I hope. Not sure what happened to Matt G who was behind us going down to Llanddorow. Perhaps he will let us know.
All in all, with some great company a nice way to end the rides for 2013. Here’s to more of the same in 2014 .
