How about this for Sunday http://app.strava.com/routes/1206027
Invitation to all Sunday cyclists – Mulled wine/coffee/tea and mince pies in Clarbeston Road on the final leg of the cycle – Slight detour might be needed from planned route!
Sounds good (both offers)
Very kind of you Simon. I`ll be there. Thank you.
Loving the look of the ride, Dan, too far for me, of course.
Unfortunately, I won’t be able to attend. My wife is taking me away for a weekend of horse racing and high jinx.
Have a good ride.
(Roger, try to avoid obvious pun. That’s if you still read the forum because you obviously don’t ride your bike any more.)
Not going to make it after all. Family stuff I’m afraid. Have a good un.
Belated apologies from me too. Age and alcohol just don’t mix. Trying to keep up with my somewhat younger colleagues at our Xmas night out took a terrible toll….
No sign of our usual scribes on Sunday morning so here goes.
8 hardy souls braved the chilly breeze and threatened showers to embark upon the route to Dale in reverse so we could accept and remain motivated by Simon’s kind offer of hopsitality on the return leg. In attendance in no particular order were Gary, Dan, Simon, John, Alex, Julie, Flapjack & Pete. The peleton headed off and the skies darkened. Pete left us at Carew but the rest carried bravely on over roads that seldom see a Dynamos shirt. Over the Cleddau Bridge, through Milford and out towards Dale. The decision was taken to miss out Dale and turn towards Haverfordwest and the direction of mulled wine. Chez Simon a spread awaited us, bread, cheese, pate, quiche, mice pies, stollen – I could go on! All very welcome. Seven arrived for refreshments but only three left by bike to arrive back in Narberth around 2.30. (55 miles)
An excellent morning out and many thanks to Simon and Mrs Simon (Kim I think – I am hopeless with names) for a great welcome seaonal fare
