As Huw has gone on his hols and Ian and Kim are in Ireland trying to drink the country dry of guinness.I suppose it`s up to me to arrange a route.

The weather forecast is looking good so we shall head north. Either we try the route from last week which we didn`t do because of the weather. Or maybe carry on from Crymych and through Eglwsyryw and up Bwlch y Gwynt. Decide in the morning. See you at 9.

Yeah, i’ll be there. Ant’s and me are thinking of making it up to 70 after riding with the dynamos early on, everyone welcome to join in of course! How long will that proposed loop be Butcherboy?

Last weeks route was 42 miles. Up over the bwlch is about 45ish. I`m up for the extra.

45ish sounds great, no extras for me though, will meet you at Bloomfield just in case the route changes though!

Flapjack, Leights, Slinky, Ants and myself met up in glorius sunshine. Ants told us Jane would be waiting for us in Clynderwen. Apparently its not the first time she`s been picked up by 5 blokes in Clynderwen!!

6 of us headed to Crymych quicker than Lance Armstrong on EPO. After Crymych the pace slowed down in anticipation of the climb up the bwlch. Jane hadn`t climbed it before and 1 by 1 we were all trying to help by saying how bad it was!

On the top we decided to head for Haverfordwest with Jane and Leights peeling off for Clarby Road and Flapjack for Spittal. Which left Slinky, Ants and myself head off to do the extra.

We rode to Burton via Merlins Bridge and Freysrop. Ants had a great idea of stopping off at the Jolly Sailor in Burton for a coke. It was really nice sitting out in the sunshine, listening to Slinky say last time he was down here was for a Chinese Elvis

    night! (Don`t ask).

After that we headed back the shortest way through Lamphey, Milton, Carew and Jeffreston.

A great days cycling. Really enjoyed it.

Well, the weather was nice! That bloody climb to Bwlch Y Gwynt is serious.

We picked up some good speed between there and Haverfordwest though, its a great stretch of road.

My legs werent there on Saturday, maybe it was the ballistic pace early doors that killed them off! I’ve just given my bike some TLC and found there was only 40 PSI in the rear tyre, so that wouldn’t have helped.

Got a 50 miler on the to-do list for the weekend, probably do it Sunday if anyone is keen? I’ll forgive you all for not joining my on the half marathon after :)
