I was wondering whether you could circulate as we are looking for marshals for the Long Course Weekend. Also, if you know of any groups who may be interested, we offer a £200 donation to your organisation or good cause for 10 adult individual volunteers.

Help make thousands of dreams come true this Summer!

It’s hard to believe that it’s nearly a year since the last Long Course Weekend, and this year’s event takes place the weekend of Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th July. I sincerely hope to be welcoming you back to the ‘marshal fold’ for our 2015 events.

Last years Ocean Lava Wales was a huge success with many going on to race in. The half distance triathlon takes place on 1st August 2015, with the sprint triathlon taking place alongside the main event. We will be looking for volunteers for this event too if you or someone you know can help out.

Once more, as well as receiving the fantastic t-shirt, packed lunch and unforgettable memories, we are offering teams of 10 or more individual adult volunteers a donation of £200 towards their chosen charity/organisation/good cause. In addition to this, if a sports team can get a group of 25 people together to help out, they can earn themselves some new kit for the upcoming season! (Please contact me for more details.)

So please let me know where and when you can be available, whether you’d like to put a team forward, whether you’d like more information and ask me any questions. I am looking forward to hearing from you and pencilling in your availability. We really could not do these events without your help.

Oh and I should mention to those marshals from last year who have been inspired to take up the challenge themselves – fantastic news and well done! We’ll be cheering you along on course!

How to volunteer…

Name, address, postcode, home telephone, mobile number, email address, dates available & any preferences/previous experience/timings, any dietary requirements, transport (yes or no) and any medical/disability issues you may want to make us aware of.

2. Click here to download the volunteer form and email it to sophie@activitywalesevents.com

3. Pop into our Haverfordwest office to pick up a volunteer registration form, complete and hand in to reception. The addresses are below.
