what are you favourite hills & sportives?
I’m definitely up for the triple Bwlch – would be a great day. Anybody doing the Dambuster, or the Aber ride at the end of the month? The Aber Cawr is a fantastic and pretty tough ride.
I have just entered the Gran Fondo Double Devil. Goes up Devils staircase and Devils elbow. 121 miles 12,227ft climbing. Should be fun!!
Starts from Builth Wells Sunday 29th May. Anyone else riding this one?
Me & Mike entered that a couple of years ago. Weather was so bad we down graded to 72 miles just devil’s staircase. In fact we both bought cycling jerseys of event so need to do event to justify wearing them.
Unable to make any of those I’m afraid 🙁
Double D is an amazing course just was such abismal weather n freeeezzzzing cold…a great day out on the Bike!!
‘Y cawr’ is another classic, last year……blasting down with the old wind n rain…..yet another fab day on the Bike!!!
Any one doing the ‘Dragon Gran Fondo’ June 5th?
Julian – I’m going to enter the Dambusters. Entries close tonight at Midnight.
Colin – just looked at the Dambuster and it seems to be closed already??
Julian – I have managed to enter. Maybe you’ve been black balled? The organiser’s contact details is on the web site. Maybe its worth calling him?
Thanks Colin. I’ve checked and it’s open again. They must have had a problem with their website earlier. I’m not black balled by the way, although there were a few bumpy roads on the Carten! Still debating whether to enter the Dambuster, as I’ve done an event every weekend for the last 3 weeks, with the Velothon to come in a couple of weeks.
I’m in for the Dambuster. See you there Colin!
