The chamois on my loyal old cycling shorts has imploded so im on the lookout for some new ones.
Here are the requirements ranked in order of importance.
1. Bum comfort
2. Bum comfort!
3. Bum comfort!!
Any recommendations?
Assos is the best band I’ve ever worn…what pice comfort ?
I have always been happy with progel shorts by Lusso , good price and hard wearing
Slinky, got a few altura they are ok but I bought some Assos and they are different class. Also got a pair of Gore shorts and they are better than altura.
When your looking at the prices take a deep breath.
Slinky, I got these last march…

The price is not in the same league as some of the assos ones but they are really comfortable. They survived multiple century rides including the dragon. I think Legaleagle has some as well.
Thanks for the suggestions.
I’ve been eyeing up some Assos ones. They are considered the best of the best. I don’t like bib shorts, so i think i’ll get some of the Assos shorts. Chainreaction have then for £89 – That hurts, but hopefully my arse wont!
I am on my third pair of Specialised bib shorts and have been very happy with them. However, if you have the money….
Slinky have a look on the ribble website,I had good price on there for my Assos bib shorts .
The Assos shorts (not bibs) are on the way! Expect a full review in the coming weeks. I will be focusing on comfort, sex appeal and post-ride aroma.

Assos also have a factory outlet store for end of line. Never used it but heard good things.
