As much as I like coffee and Newport, the lure is not quite strong enought to pursude me to cycle there. However, happy to join in to start with then loop back for a slightly shorter ride and forego the coffee.
I am with valley man. Too far and too hilly for me for a Sunday morning with other things to do in the afternoon
What a peloton, if I had known it was passing my house, I would have put the flags out! Sat in bed with coffee and baby in hand. In years to come Dylan will talk about the day something exciting happened in his road.
Evolution of a Club Ride
1) Assemble at Bloomfield
2) Wait for person who suggested the route to turn up
3) Come to conclusion they are not coming
4) See if anyone bothered to look at the route in detail and knows were we are going
5) Establish they didn’t
6) Decide to have a go anyway
7) See how many place names we know starting with or including ‘LLan’
8) Put our trust in Gary and head off
9) Stop every 10 miles or so to re-evaluate options
Result – a cracking route filled with excitement and surprise.
Went out earlier as no-one committed to a route so didn’t want to cycle all the way down n find out no one was there!!
With apologies to Julie Barritt Browning !!
We seek him here
we seek him there
The hairy faced photographer
He posts a ride
then turns to hide
We couldn’t find him anywhere!!
Enjoyed the ride – had to wait until we got back to Narberth for coffee and cake. (Just the two of us!!)
So poetic Gary…thank goodness you didn’t teach English Literature in School!!!
