MemberI will be taking part in this event and riding for MacMillan Cancer Support. Many of us will have family or friends with cancer and will be aware of the amazing support MacMillan provide. If you would like to contribute to the cause, I have set up a just giving page https://www.justgiving.com/Dan-Lewis11 or you could sponsor me in person. I will be carrying a sponsorship form with me at all times!

MemberThanks Mat.
Apart form the weather which was apalling it was a privilege to ride through closed roads in London..I took full advantage of being able to go through red lights, cycle down the wrong side of the road and dive down blind bends. Its really quite scary riding in large numbers at high speeds and there were accidents frquently waiting to happen. The closest I got was just avoiding a full drinks bottle rocketing towards me..you just had to stay alert the whole time…loved it!
Shame we didn’t get to do any climbing…good to average 22.3 mph for the 86 miles and I’m confident that I would have easily broken 5 hours (my aim) if we were allowed to the full 100…I want to do this again in sunny weather…and even on the tandem…please don’t apply for this event so I have more chance of getting in again!

MemberWell, I made it despite the weather which, even by Pembrokeshire standards, was on the damp side. Thank you to those who have contributed to MacMillan for whom my effort raised £1350.
It was good to cycle on closed roads and I am glad I entered. However, I do not think I would do it again as, depite excellent organisation, there were just too many people for my liking. -
