MemberMat’s thoughts – away days, lift out, ride back and different routes are great. Different roads and routes would be fantastic! Beacons anybody? Or ride the Sportive routes you missed earlier in the year for free!
This weekend, with the Long Course coming up, Matthew C is doing his Tour de Pembs 100 miles route on the main roads (from Fish @ 9, St D, Hwest, Tenby and back to Fish) on Saturday and the new long loop of the Ironman Course on Sunday (starting around lunchtime I think). I’m planning on joining him for some, or all, of the ride on Saturday and also Sunday, depending on the legs!
Good training for the Long Course – let me know if you’re interested and I’ll firm up the details.

MemberLooks good and a few different roads that I haven’t ridden, even though I’m a Llanelli Turk!

MemberBe great if you can Andrew.

MemberCome on Dynamos – am I going to be the only Dyno in a sea of Hornets and Tritons??
Julian MT
MemberI’ll be doing this one. Any other Dynamos?

MemberI’m in for the Dambuster. See you there Colin!
Julian MT
MemberThanks Colin. I’ve checked and it’s open again. They must have had a problem with their website earlier. I’m not black balled by the way, although there were a few bumpy roads on the Carten! Still debating whether to enter the Dambuster, as I’ve done an event every weekend for the last 3 weeks, with the Velothon to come in a couple of weeks.
Julian MT
MemberColin – just looked at the Dambuster and it seems to be closed already??
Julian MT
MemberFlapjack – you’re either a legend or mad – cant decide which! But the prize for hardest working Dynamo has to go to Julie in the sports massage tent in Tenby all day on Saturday. Thanks Jul!

MemberI’m definitely up for the triple Bwlch – would be a great day. Anybody doing the Dambuster, or the Aber ride at the end of the month? The Aber Cawr is a fantastic and pretty tough ride.

MemberSuggested NarCar route, based on NarCar 2014, but with diversion through Meidrim: https://www.strava.com/routes/4873762.
Does anyone need their bag picked up from Bloomfield on Thursday evening?Julian MT
MemberMy other half, Julie, is driving up on Friday morning and can also take some bags up to the Premier Inn in Churchill Way. Please put labels on bags, as she’ll drop them off in the hotel when she gets into Cardiff late morning. Same time, same place – 8.45 a.m. on Friday at Bloomfield – for the bag pick up, but if Thursday is more convenient for anyone, I’m happy to take your bags from Bloomfield on Thursday evening at 6.00 p.m. if you let me know in advance. If Haverfordwest is easier for anybody, you can drop your bag into my office at 5 Picton Place any time before 5.00 p.m. on Thursday.

MemberEspecially well done to all those who had multiple punctures and other mechanicals! A fantastic day.

MemberMatt – I haven’t done a route yet, but the Meidrim detour would add around 4 miles max, plus a bit of climbing. Rejoin the dual carriageway at Bancyfelin where the cycle path starts. I would then go through Johnstown and up Monument Hill into Carmarthen. We can avoid a bit more traffic/lights by going over the pedestrian bridge in Carmarthen and rejoining the main road near the railway station.

MemberI’m signed up for the Carten and am up for Narcar. Not done it before, but would suggest the 2012 route, posted by Huw last year: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/177642357, but with a diversion through Meidrim to avoid the first bit of the dual carriageway without a cycle path.
