Just an idea, is it worth advertising a beginners ride for the first Sunday of each month and then splitting other rides as numbers dictate?
On one club ride we had at least two groups turn up who rode as one then split into individuals at hills and regrouped. My personal feeling is any more than 12/14 per group on our narrow/hilly/twisting roads is a little unsafe.
