Nick Gibbon is an amazing athlete ( his very impressive time comes as no suprise..but I bet he’s gutted he missed gold by a wisker ) and I knew I had started with the wrong group when I noticed they all shaved their legs and their bikes and kit made me look like some first-timer! I kept with them for the first 15 miles at an average speed of 21 mph..then I lagged behind a little on the first major climb of the day and got caught by the traffic lights..needless to say I never saw them again..
Well done Nick..I can’t Kudos you on Stava as you’ve given it up
